A 1966 MGU Moscow University graduate, Biology Department, Invertebrates Zoology Chair. Received a PhD degree in 1972 from P.P. Shirshov Institute of Oceanology, Russian Academy of Sciences, and Dr. Biol. Sc. in 1992 from Institute of Ecology and Evolution by memory A.N. Severcov. Russian Academy of Sciences. Chief interests: behaviour of pelagian Crustacea accumulations, functional morphology of Crustacea, Arthropoda evolution. At present - with VNIRO's (Russian Federal Research Institute of Fisheries and Oceanography), Coastal Research Laboratory.
